Sloth
I've had thee most lazy, uneventful weekend ever........it's too dull to blog.
I'm cringing it's so boring, but the weekend comings blogpost is full and varied and fun packed, i promise!!!!!
Anyhow I'm not making excuses, i like my life now :o)
Friday 1st
White Rose hellhole at dinner, did well though i was a woman on a mission, got the Debenhams vouchers, Andy some shorts, new boxers, DVD, Steven some Simpson's toptrumps (he'll need them) Leigh's lunch and a chocolate cake from Ainsley's and was back at my desk in an hour and 10mins.
5pm, i was outta here and for once in a bluemoon no traffic homeward bound, let cats out......fetched AP, we called for fish and chips and had a very pleasant hour with the parents (even though Marlo greeted me with "put your belly away you're not a teenager".......instead of the usual "Hello") nice!
Didn't pull her up on the fact that she ate the flake from the 4th piece of chocolate cake as that's not childish.
Dad went off to set up the Xmas Fayre after tea, left Mother whittering to herself, dropped Andy at the rugby, home for moi :o) quick bath, then the House's arrived.
Very pleasant evening spent, Megan is SO cute, if my Daughter is 1/2 as sweet i'll be very happy. Rach had a few bevies, Dean was on tea and coffee, i had a grapefruit juice and a satsuma, we just chilled and watched t.v and talked about you lot!
They left at 11.15pm, i went straight to bed, read a while then fell into a very happy sleep as i had the whole bed to myself and a lie-in to look forward to.
Saturday 2nd
If my alarm hadn't have gone off at 10am, i'd have slept way past lunch, so tired!! quick coffee.....note NO swimming tut tut, i'll never go to heaven.
Called for Mum and Ruth and 11am, then went to the church fayre for homemade cream sponge cake, tea and sandwiches, bought some blue hyacinth bulbs as i am in my 60's...obviously.
Jan star made a celebrity appearance, Dad was posing as Santa in the grotto, Mum had taken the digital camera and tried to get me and Sis to pose with him...........we refused.
I had loads of mad old ladies patting my bump, one particular lady told me their Elizabeth was that big, but she wasn't pregnant.....she had a tumour........okay then!!??!
Made a hasty exit back to the car, more coffee and nattering at the Mother's, left for tesco's.. got supplies, dropped Ruth at her in-laws and i spent my afternoon lying on the sofa, after a bath and cleaning the bathroom.
Quick tea of soup and welsh rarebit, collected AP from the club, he changed (his clothes, not as a person) and we toddled to the Flicks, for bond...where we ate our own body weight in revels and jelly babies. Some special needs boy selling popcorn at the front, asked everyone to move up and fill the single seats at the side of them, i must admit he was on his soap box, clearing thought this was his big break in the entertainment business, was cracking funnies about how he'd be back at the end of the show with his crow bar to get everyone out of the Auditorium, but Andy did not need to join in by shouting "there's plenty seats at the front" after his 4 bottles of Stella.
Home for 10pm, hotdogs, cream cake and mugs of tea, Parkinson and Bedfordshire for reading, the footie and finally slumber at midnight!
Sunday 3rd
Had a rotten nights sleep, awake at 8, then dropped back off till 10am, fed moggies, made breakfast, then we decided to get a wriggle on and brave the Xmas shopping revellers, fook!!! only went to get Andy some trainers as all my shoppings done and he has Friday's off to buy mine and his families gifts. Went into Leeds, The crown point and Birstall retail park, got him some at soccer world, peeked in ToysRus (no sign of Auntie Gill) the queues were howge, so we shot back to car and home to the sofas...............i hate shopping!! (it's much better to get everything done in your lunch hours and not spend valuable me time pushing and shoving with all the other weekend shopper idiots).
Bathed, p.j's, ate chocs from advent calander, then Met, Gill ,Dave, John and Claire at 4.30pm in the Saw for Gill's birthday, we had a 3 course Sunday dinner which was pleasant...it was okay, but my family are more of a laugh.
I do like John though and Claire's nice.....Andy is obviously in the same mind as me as he's chosen my folks for Xmas dinner...hurrah!!
Home 6.20pm.......p.j's back on quick as a flash, played with cats quite content just chatting and chilling, Andy went about 9pm, i watched the Celebrity coming out and Lost, early to bed more exhausted than if i'd actually done something this weekend.
Still very very busy week and weekend and all the lead up to Chrimbo, windows in my diary? NIL
