So what did I do this weekend?
Nothing.
That's what.
Nada.
I don't think I can bear it.
It's gonna have to be some Sunday drinking.
I haven't done any Sunday drinking since the Arms closed. I always used to go to the Arms on a Sunday. It was always a good day, as it would only ever be the regulars in and we'd all just hang about talking absurd tangental nonsense.
It was really nice (and nice being the most appropriate word) in a comfortable pastoral kind of a way.
I actually haven't been out in Enfield for ages (well apart from my birthday which was more with my brother's friends in Taps than my lot who drink in the King's Head - for the most part - with the closing of the Arms people have spread out all over the place).
Anyway, I'll let you know if I can be botherd to drag myself out.
(Looking likely with the cricket looking like it's going to be rained off)
Everyone's usually out on a Sunday so it should be good.
